What Is REBECCA?

Welcome to REBECCA, the Regional Energy Business, Education, and Commercialization Convergence Accelerator, the Energy Tech Hub headquartered in Louisville for Kentucky region. REBECCA is at the forefront of key innovations in materials science and cutting-edge manufacturing technologies to transform clean hydrogen production & use; solar, battery and biofuel technologies; micro-grid systems and decarbonization solutions. We are actively cultivating collaborations with key entities such as the Department of Energy supported Industrial Assessment Center (IAC), Minority Business Development Authority (MBDA) supported Kentucky Advanced Manufacturing Center, Transit Authority of River City (TARC), Louisville Metro Government, GE Appliances, HyperIon Motors, Clariant, Jefferson Community Technical College (JCTC), and the Kentucky Workforce Innovation Board. The consortium is expected to include more stakeholders from the Commonwealth of Kentucky and nearby regions. REBECCA is working on developing a winning strategy for creating infrastructure to support energy innovations by partnering with large & small companies, academic institutions.  Such infrastructure will enable several stakeholders for the region to innovate new products, manufacturing technologies and implement solutions through benchmarking, demonstration, and scale up. A talent pipeline will be created to actively participate and advance the innovation ecosystem in the energy sector.
